We’re committed to opening the field for more girls in Napa to play lacrosse — a sport that builds confidence, competitiveness, leadership, and lifelong friendships. This is where her journey starts.

Lacrosse for girls in Napa is growing, but we need more players to keep our programs strong and thriving. Right now, there are three high schools in Napa that have girls’ lacrosse, and each of them depends on a pipeline of younger players to learn the game, fall in love with it, and step confidently into those teams.

At the college level the reality is: there are scholarships available for girls to play — but many of them aren’t being used.

We find that girls do not come out to lacrosse because:

• Families may not know about the opportunity
• Some girls worry about being “new” to the sport
• Cost or equipment feels like a barrier
• They just haven’t been invited in yet

We’re changing that!

She Plays with Force is our commitment to building a critical mass of confident, skilled, and supported young female athletes in Napa. When girls step on the field together — learning, trying, growing — they gain something powerful: a place they belong, a team that trusts them, and a voice that gets stronger every season.

This program provides:

• Full registration scholarships for first-year girl players
• Support and guidance as they learn the game
• A team culture built on effort, leadership, and joy
• A pathway to continue playing through middle school and into high school

Families provide:

• $35 USA Lacrosse membership fee (about $35),
• and players may need to purchase their own stick (typically under $100).

Everything else — coaching, training, community — is provided.
